Hi, my name is Kelsy Cunningham and I am the creator of Astronomer’s Dream. My passion for massage and bodywork ignited after suffering from anxiety and panic attacks throughout middle and highschool. During this time, I grew up very out-of-touch within my own body that I couldn't even notice the signs that my body was telling me something was wrong. From this, I developed multiple digestive diseases, and experienced the most painful years of my life as I concluded highschool. It took me approximately three years of coming and going from different doctors offices, experiencing a multitude of tests and harmful medications, to finally stop and listen to what my body really needed. I fell in love with energy work and eventually massage therapy. I loved the idea of allowing pause to the sometimes chaotic external world, and allowing, even if only for an hour or two, for the body to be recognized and heard. I am now 23 years old, licensed in Massage Therapy with experience in multiple modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, hot stones, and reiki. I also completed a 60+ hour certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, learning from highly skilled therapists as well as other professionals with a wealth of experience in the field of somatic therapy.
